Logan City Council

Queensland Local Council removes, 80% window heat load from their staff common area. Logan City Council staff had been complaining of excessive heat in the staff common area and had stopped using the area, because it was too hot.
SITE AUDIT READINGS:
3pm March 2017
- The ambient temperature was 26 degrees centigrade.
- The temperature on the glass was found to be 37 degrees centigrade
- The aluminum mullions reading was 45 degrees centigrade
Solutions
We recommended to install fixed panels in between the glass and the existing blinds. Because the glass was configured in a ‘Z’ layout the Ultrasol was installed sitting 50mm off the glass to trap and turn the heat before it could enter the area.
Results
The affects were felt immediately after installation, with the staff stating that the area had cooled down significantly. Most importantly the staff common area is now being enjoyed continuously.
